Washington Mills in Tonawanda, NY is hiring an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and 5S Coordinator. You will report to the EHS/Maintenance Manager and oversee the plant's EHS and 5S programs, lead training, and support regulatory inspections to ensure safe operations.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years of EHS/5S experience, a technical or EHS bachelor’s degree (preferred), and the ability to engage employees and collaborate with HR on workers’ comp. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Competenze

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant EHS and 5S experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or EHS field preferred.
• Ability to promote employee involvement in EHS programs.
• Proficiency with OSHA CFR 1910 regulations and 5S standards.
• Ability to build relationships with supervisors, plant management, operations and external customers.
• Collaborates with HR on workers' compensation and related issues.

• Lead incident reporting and documentation of safety events.
• Implement EHS and 5S policies with sustainable results.
• Host regulatory visits and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and address concerns.
• Provide new hire safety orientation and training.
• Serve as safety resource for employees and programs.
• Mentor on LOTO and working from heights.
• Develop site-specific EHS/5S training programs and oversee LMS.
• Maintain OSHA 300 log and internal reporting requirements.
• Chair Safety Committee and lead monthly meetings.
• Communicate site safety KPIs and status.
