Job summary

System Soft Technologies is seeking a Healthcare Interoperability Specialist to support EHR integrations across multiple vendor platforms in the United States. You will work with clinicians and IT teams to implement data exchange requirements and ensure compliant, secure handling of health information.

You will analyze clinical workflows, validate structured data, and collaborate on HL7, FHIR, and USCDI standards adoption while maintaining HIPAA privacy and security practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Allscripts/Veradigm, or NextGen.
• Proficiency with HL7 v2, C-CDA, CCD, FHIR, and USCDI interoperability standards.
• Experience validating structured clinical data and troubleshooting EHR integration.
• Ability to map clinical workflows to data exchange requirements.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Experience with HIE onboarding and multi-vendor interoperability projects.
• Experience with SQL, interface engines, or data mapping tools.
• Familiarity with NC HIEA initiatives, Medicaid QPHE, or NCQA DAV programs.
• Experience with rural or underserved provider settings.

Job description

Experience with Electronic Health Record platforms such as Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Allscripts/Veradigm, or NextGen.

Proficiency with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 v2, C-CDA, CCD, FHIR, and USCDI.

Experience validating structured clinical data and troubleshooting EHR integration issues.

Ability to interpret clinical workflows and map them to data exchange requirements

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge of HIPAA and health information privacy/security requirements.

Experience supporting HIE onboarding, healthcare interoperability projects, or multi-vendor EHR environments.

Experience with SQL, interface engines, or data mapping tools.

Familiarity with state or federal digital health programs such as NC HIEA initiatives, Medicaid QPHE, or NCQA DAV.

Experience working with rural or underserved provider settings.
