Kingman Healthcare seeks an HIM Electronic Health Record Specialist to perform scanning, indexing, and quality review of medical records in the EHR system. This role supports levels 1–3 responsibilities, including portal assistance and release of information workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience in Health Information Management (HIM) or hospital clerical work preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and release of information practices required.
• Ability to operate office equipment and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves patient charts daily from nursing units and patient care departments.
• Preps and scans documents into the EHR following department guidelines.
• Uploads images into the electronic record as requested and performs quality review of records.
• Routes and indexes documents and analyzes charts for accuracy and completeness.
• Manages release of information requests and ROI module in the EMR.
• Provides portal support and assists with provider deficiency reporting.
