TITLE: EHR Specialist
REPORTS TO: IT Director
WORK AREA: Remote Ohio (Portsmouth, Ohio or Ashland, Kentucky Area Candidates)
SUMMARY: The primary function of the EHR Support Specialist is to provide comprehensive support to clinicians and staff in the effective utilization of electronic health record (EHR) systems. Under the supervision of the IT Director, this role oversees day-to-day operations of both production and test EHR environments and serves as the main point of contact for EHR system users. Responsibilities include application support, form creation, system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and general IT support. The EHR Support Specialist must ensure adherence to HIPAA privacy and security standards, safeguarding all patient information.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or four years of proven experience.
Experience/Skills:
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The EHR Support Specialist will be part of a collaborative team, interacting regularly with clinical staff, IT colleagues, and vendors. Flexibility in work hours may be required to address critical issues swiftly and ensure seamless patient care.
