Job summary

The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is hiring an EHR Security Analyst to support security, access, and user provisioning for the Cerner EHR environment. This role provides technical and functional security support, including access reviews, RBAC, authentication, auditing, and incident response, working with IT, privacy, compliance, and application teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in IT security or equivalent.
• Healthcare IT experience with EHR systems.
• Strong knowledge of Millennium and OHPAC security positions.

Responsibilities

• Manage user access and security configuration for EHR systems.
• Review and process access requests per policy and RBAC.
• Monitor security controls and perform audits for compliance.
• Coordinate with ISO, IT, privacy, and application teams.
• Develop and maintain security policies and downtime procedures.
• Respond to security incidents and report findings.
