Job summary

Intellibee seeks an EHR Security Analyst/Technical Support Analyst in Richmond, VA to support security, access, and user provisioning for the EHR environment and provide tier 1 end-user support.

The role covers security configuration, auditing, and troubleshooting, collaborating with IT, privacy, compliance, and application support teams to ensure appropriate access based on roles and policies.

Qualifications

• Three plus years IT experience.
• Three plus years healthcare IT experience.
• Strong understanding of Millenium and OHPAC security positions.
• Strong understanding of EHR Systems.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH and healthcare security regulations.
• Experience with AD, SSO, MFA and identity management solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with IT teams, compliance, end users.

Responsibilities

• Map and maintain EHR positions and security groups with VDH positions.
• Process EHR access requests per policies and RBAC requirements.
• Create, modify, and terminate user access per approved requests.
• Monitor and enforce EHR access control positions and policies.
• Help define and automate provisioning and offboarding procedures.
• Conduct internal security audits of the EHR application to mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain security policies and guidelines for the application.
• Prepare security documentation and downtime procedures per VDH guidelines.
• Respond to security incidents and report to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with implementation and optimization teams to integrate security in deployments.
• Stay informed about emerging threats and best practices for EHR systems.
• Recommend improvements to the EHR security environment.
• Monitor user behavior using tools like P2Sentinel.
• Assist on internal and external audits.
• Participate in Cerner/OHPAC upgrades and patches.
