Job summary

Foothill Regional Medical Center in Tustin, CA seeks a Clinical Informatics Analyst to serve as SME for the EHR and other clinical systems, leading implementation, optimization, training, and ongoing support initiatives.

You will collaborate with clinical, operational, and leadership teams to drive workflow improvements, enhance user adoption, and leverage technology to improve patient care and organizational performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in clinical system implementations (EMR, Ancillary, Reporting Analytics, Clinical Quality, etc.)
• Experience with clinical reporting, analytics, and dashboard development.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ARRA Meaningful Use requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to multitask and maintain a work pace appropriate to workload
• Ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment
• Provides after hour and weekend support as needed

Responsibilities

• Builds, tests, implements, and supports computer applications and healthcare information systems that drive organizational business operations and clinical initiatives.
• Serves as the primary internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, providing leadership in system implementation, optimization, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.
• Leads and supports EHR deployment projects, ensuring successful adoption, system enhancements, workflow integration, and long-term performance improvements.
• Acts as a liaison between Information Systems, clinical staff, and hospital leadership to facilitate effective communication and alignment of technology solutions with operational needs.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to analyze clinical and business workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and configure EHR functionality to enhance efficiency, compliance, and patient care outcomes.
• Provides end-user support, training, and guidance to maximize EHR utilization and ensure a positive user experience.
• Partners with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic technology initiatives that support both short-term operational goals and long-term organizational objectives.
• Evaluates system performance and recommends enhancements to improve workflow efficiency, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and overall clinical effectiveness.
