Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Safety & Environmental or related field required; 5–7 years in safety/environmental roles preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental standards; strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; ability to manage projects and interact with employees at all levels; wastewater license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Chair the Employee Safety Committee and lead safety initiatives.
• Investigate injuries with staff and HR; report pertinent details to supervisor.
• Develop hazard controls and safety programs; assess regulatory changes.
• Maintain safety and environmental records, permits, and MSDS data.
• Notify and coordinate with regulatory agencies on applicable items.
• Train supervisors and employees in safe methods; assist contractor training.
• Supervise approximately 9 hourly team members and oversee audits for compliance.
