Job summary

EnviroLogix is seeking an EH&S Supervisor to lead safety and facilities initiatives at our Portland, ME campus. You will develop and enforce safety protocols, manage maintenance and calibration processes, and oversee a small facilities team to ensure a safe, compliant workplace.

The role emphasizes experience in health, safety, and facilities with a focus on continuous improvement, training, and cross-functional collaboration to support operations and seasonal production needs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Occupational Health and Safety.
• 5+ years experience in Health and Safety and/or Facilities.
• Safety certifications such as CSP, CIH, STS are a plus.
• Positive work ethic and passionate attitude.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and perform under pressure.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communications.
• Collaborate with internal departments to solve problems and address needs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety protocols across lab and facilities.
• Enforce safety policies including Lockout/Tagout and machine guarding.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
• Maintain SDS libraries and manage hazardous materials.
• Oversee safety equipment, PPE, eyewashes, and showers.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Lead safety training and 5S compliance.
• Mentor and develop the EnviroLogix Facilities team.
• Create emergency response plans and manage audits.
