Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Able to work independently, and exercise considerable judgment and decision-making.
Able to direct outside consultants and evaluate progress.
Strong training, organizational and negotiation skills.
Able to work under tight deadlines with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Establish, administer and monitor company-wide standards and procedures for EHS.
Minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
Provide specialized technical expertise for hazard elimination, program development, and reporting.
Assist affiliate companies and coordinate contractors.
Interface with regulatory agencies and produce compliance reports.
Lead root cause accident and incident investigations and provide executive-level reports.
Prepare compliance reports and participate in the 24-hour emergency response program.
Develop corporate compliance programs in safety, industrial hygiene and environmental areas.
