Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to support compliance and safety across Chelsea, MI and Detroit, MI sites. You will assist training, perform inspections, and drive continuous improvement in EH&S programs.

You will develop training materials, manage hazardous materials processes, and participate in safety committees, reporting to the Director of Global EHS and Regulatory Compliance. Strong manufacturing EH&S experience is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive EH&S knowledge applicable to manufacturing environments.
• Experience leading EH&S programs or initiatives.
• 5+ years in safety-focused manufacturing settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety training for employees on health and safety topics.
• Conduct periodic safety and environmental inspections and document findings.
• Participate in Safety Committee meetings and lead safety actions.
• Review and assess company EH&S programs and regulatory compliance.
• Develop training records and disseminate EH&S manuals and documentation.
• Coordinate hazardous materials handling, SDS updates, and waste management.
• Promote a safety-focused culture with site leadership support.
• Lead incident investigations and support EMS/OSHA interactions.

The EHS Specialist is responsible and accountable to the Director of Global EHS and Regulatory Compliance.
