Trulite Glass and Aluminum Solutions is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager in Cheswick, PA. The role focuses on implementing safety programs across locations, ensuring EPA/state compliance, and reducing incident rates through training and proactive measures.

The ideal candidate will have OSHA Outreach Instructor credentials, 2–4 years of EH&S leadership in manufacturing, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• A.S. degree required; B.S. preferred.
• Minimum 2–4 years of EH&S management in manufacturing or construction.
• DOT and Driver Safety experience preferred.
• Hands-on, plant-floor leader with ability to drive behavioral change.

Responsibilities

• Implement safety programs to ensure a safe workplace across all Trulite locations.
• Create reports to ensure EPA and state regulatory compliance.
• Track Workers' Compensation, reduce incident rates.
• Conduct OSHA training to improve safety focus.
• Maintain OSHA logs and recordkeeping.
• Lead safety awareness and incentive programs in the plant.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER

What You Will Be Doing:

• Implement safety programs, which ensure a safe work place for all employees and drives best practice programs throughout all Trulite locations.
• Creates reports to ensure that the facility is in compliance with all federal EPA standards and state environmental regulations (air permitting, hazardous waste, etc.).
• Tracks and reports all Workers' Compensation issues and develops programs to reduce incident rates.
• Conduct training as needed to ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA standards and to improve the focus on safety.
• Work with Branch/ Plant Managers and Supervisors to identify and correct exposures.
• Maintains all OSHA logs and required recordkeeping.
• Develops and delivers effective safety educational programs for supervisors and others.
• Perform safety assessments at location and develops corrective actions plans for any audits, citations, or notice of violations.
• Provide guidance and direction to the plant to keep them informed of regulatory changes affecting their business operations.
• Ensures timely and accurate preparation of government and company safety and environmental reports that satisfy reporting requirements.
• Serve as the primary interface with OSHA, EPA, and state applicable agencies for all compliance and enforcement actions.
• Maintains safety and environmental performance metrics, statistics, records, injury reporting, and record keeping systems.
• Maintain all safety policies in compliance with regulations and establish effective safety guidelines.
• Provide leadership for safety awareness and incentive programs within the plant.
• Provide communication on safety through articles, newsletters, signage, etc.
• Participate in new equipment and process to ensure safety assessments are done and safety issues are addressed.
• Maintain existing MSDS system and ensure new materials and products have appropriate MSDS sheets and training.
• Perform analysis and recommend improvements to equipment and processes to improve safety and prevent accidents.
• Responsible for coordinating purchasing of safety equipment, to include PPE.
• Coordinate with Corporate Safety Manager on health and safety issues.
• Maintain EH&S records, to include all industrial hygiene and noise testing.
• Schedule and coordinate regular hazard assessments and safety audits working with the Safety Team.
• Coordinate emergency response and first aid system.

Skills You Bring:

• A.S. required B.S. preferred.
• A Current OSHA Outreach Instructor in General Industry or Construction Industry.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience managing environmental health and safety programs in a manufacturing or construction environment required.
• Experience with DOT and Driver Safety programs preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Some overnight travel is required.
• The successful candidate will be a hands-on, "on the plant floor" person who has demonstrated experience leading effective behavioral change in the environmental and safety arena and driving results in a manufacturing environment.
• Must work well in a cross-functional, dynamic, collaborative environment.
