Job summary

Hendrickson in Indiana seeks an experienced EH&S professional to support and implement safety and environmental programs in a manufacturing setting. You will drive safety initiatives, coordinate incident investigations, and develop education materials for teams across the plant.

You will lead cross-functional safety projects, monitor dashboards, and collaborate with leaders to meet safety goals while coordinating training for groups of 5–50 people. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3+ years' experience with environmental matters related to manufacturing.
• Experience upgrading EH&S programs and process improvement.
• Self-starter with good time management and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading and participating on cross-functional teams.
• Ability to lead and deliver training for groups of 5–50 people.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (one-on-one and group).
• Ability to travel to company locations as needed.
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide overall safety direction and assistance to ensure safety and health of associates.
• Provide EH&S direction through Vision Zero.
• Administer site EHS procedures.
• Facilitate incident investigation process and action items.
• Develop and maintain safety dashboards and KPIs.
• Manage Industrial Hygiene issues.
• Oversee safety audits and follow-up.
• Assess impact of new processes on employees and ensure engagement.
• Work with safety teams and leaders to achieve goals.
• Assist in Workers' Compensation case management.
• Participate on Safety Excellence Team.
• Prepare safety communications for education and awareness.
