Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. in Gallatin, Tennessee is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator to support site EH&S programs under the direction of the EH&S Manager.

This role focuses on compliance, training, inspections, incident investigations, data management, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with employees and operational teams to identify risks, escalate concerns, and ensure practical safety practices are followed on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, engineering, EH&S management, or related field preferred.
• An associate degree combined with EH&S experience may be considered.
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification preferred, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• OHST, ASP, or another relevant credential preferred.
• Two to five years of EH&S experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, construction, or industrial environment preferred.
• Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, environmental compliance programs, and EH&S management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• EH&S program administration & compliance support; assist with inspections, audits, recordkeeping, and reporting.
• Inspections, audits & hazard identification; document hazards and track corrective actions.
• Training & employee engagement; coordinate EH&S training and onboarding.
• Incident reporting & investigation support; assist with investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Performance tracking & data management; maintain EH&S metrics, reports, and records.
