Scotts Miracle‑GRO in Linden, CA is seeking an EH&S Coordinator to oversee environmental, health and safety compliance at the facility, ensuring adherence to EPA/OSHA guidance and corporate guidelines.

The role includes coordinating training, maintaining incident, near-miss and PPE records, supporting emergency response, and working with staff and management to identify and mitigate EH&S concerns.

Qualifications

• EH&S knowledge and understanding of applicable regulations required.
• Experience coordinating EH&S activities in manufacturing or related settings preferred.
• Ability to lead meetings and train staff in safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure EPA and OSHA documentation compliance per corporate guidance.
• Collaborate with employees and managers to identify and mitigate EH&S concerns.
• Maintain a Job Hazard Analysis database and ensure required PPE is available.
• Maintain Incident, Injury, Near Miss, and Safe Behavior documentation and follow-up on actions.
• Coordinate RCRA compliance activities and training.
• Provide guidance and direction for emergency response activities.
• Coordinate EH&S training sessions and keep training records.
• Record monitoring, sampling, and disposal data into recordkeeping software according to regulations.
• Coordinate vendor inspections and services (fire, sprinkler, wastewater, etc.).
• Work flexible hours, including second and third shifts, if necessary.
• Serve as team lead on the safety committee.
