Job summary

Associated Packaging, Inc. in Gallatin, TN is seeking an EH&S Specialist to develop and lead our EH&S program, ensuring regulatory and customer requirements are met from the headquarters in Gallatin.

The role will coordinate safety training, maintain records, and track OSHA logs across facilities. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety or related field and 1–3 years of experience with strong knowledge of OSHA/EHS regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health or related field preferred.
• One to three years of related experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to problem solve using a structured approach.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite.
• Some domestic travel to API branches.

Responsibilities

• Ensure home office and branch operations comply with OSHA and other regulations.
• Maintain Safety Program and Manual; train personnel and ensure certifications.
• Maintain hazardous material records (disposal, spills).
• Track and report OSHA logs; investigate incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Develop Sustainability policy and report on progress.
• Work with HR to implement healthy work environment policies.
• Support customer risk management requirements via third-party service providers.
• Other tasks as assigned.
