Job summary

Aecon U.S. seeks an EH&S Advisor to support automotive project sites across the US. Reporting to the EH&S Director, the advisor will provide health and safety guidance, audit project EH&S programs, and partner with line organizations to drive continuous safety improvements.

Responsibilities include promoting safety policies, training staff, tracking safety metrics, managing return-to-work cases, and conducting field inspections to ensure a safe working environment across sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of EH&S management experience within the construction industry.
• Degree in Occupational Safety, or related field (Preferred).
• Experience conducting safety activities including safety orientation and audits.
• Experience leading safety meetings with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E/CSA Z462; OSHA 30 & OSHA 510; recognized third-party safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Promote, educate, and reinforce Company Safety Policies and Regulatory Standards.
• Train project staff in conventional safety procedures.
• Track and report safety-related statistics.
• Manage Return to Work and modified duties cases at field level.
• Complete EH&S field inspections, observations, and incident investigation reports.
• Ensure proper case management for work-related injuries or illness.
• Support field activities and Human Performance program.
