Job summary

Exeter Hospital is seeking a dedicated Emergency Department nurse to join our busy NH seacoast team. You will assess, triage and manage care for patients across ED and MECU settings, collaborating with physicians, techs and support staff.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license in NH or a compact state, with 1 year in emergency/critical care and BCLS; ACLS/PALS certification (or within 6 months) is preferred. Exeter offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• BSN degree preferred for the ED role.
• 1 year of Emergency or Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in triage, critical care, trauma, emergency and MECU settings.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and prioritization in a fast-paced ED.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

The Emergency Department at Exeter Hospital cares for a diverse patient population with a wide range of medical needs. With annual volumes of approximately 33,000 patients, the department is one of the busiest in the Seacoast area. In addition to the main Emergency Department, comprised of 21 beds, there is a 6-bed Minor Care area. Our Emergency Department nurses possess strong clinical assessment skills, superior judgment, and the ability to manage challenging situations and set priorities. They care for patients of all ages with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses in the following settings: triage, critical care, trauma care, emergency care and the Minor Emergency Care Unit (MECU).

In this fast-paced environment, you must possess strong clinical assessment skills, superior judgment, and the ability to manage challenging situations and set priorities. Previous nursing experience in an emergency department setting and BSN are strongly preferred.
