Job summary

Blue Origin in the Seattle area is seeking a Test Engineering Manager to lead an EGSE team focused on Lunar Core Components test equipment. You will design, build, and commission EGSE rack equipment and coordinate across multiple product teams to ensure safe, reliable spaceflight hardware.

The role reports to the Senior Manager of Lunar Core Components Test Equipment, oversees performance reviews and career development, and expects about 25% travel with potential for up to 50% for remote-site

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing technical teams and/or leading functional groups with responsibility for career management of employees.
• 6+ years of experience in at least one specialty area applicable to space flight.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary development and verification tests, including managing requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, and cost
• Demonstrated leadership in establishing a high-performing safety culture
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or another technical field

Responsibilities

• Lead an EGSE team supporting Lunar programs and oversee design, build, and commissioning of EGSE rack equipment.
• Coordinate and triage engineering support across product teams and test engineers.
• Develop and implement test procedures, ensuring safety of hardware and personnel.
• Manage team professional development, performance evaluations, and career progression.
• Travel approximately 25% to 50% for testing at remote sites.
