Job summary

Oskaloosa Food Products Corp is seeking a Breaking Plant Technician to keep eggs moving on the breaking line and to support transfer, breaking, and inedible rooms, ensuring safety and quality. You will operate a stand-up forklift, load materials, and complete daily production paperwork while adhering to USDA requirements and company policies.

This role requires flexibility and reliability in a high-volume egg-processing plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in a food manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Stand-up forklift/rider and pallet jack experience; training and certification required.
• Basic computer skills for production documentation.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work flexible hours based on company volume and needs.

Responsibilities

• Feeds pallets of eggs onto conveyors safely using a stand-up forklift.
• Assists with completing set-up and start-up steps for transfer, breaking, and inedible room machinery.
• Unloads eggs from incoming trailers, moves to storage cooler, and collects tickets.
• Completes daily production reports and paperwork accurately.
• Cleans and sanitizes dock/cooler area and performs sanitation duties.
• Assists with hand loading eggs and loads materials onto trailers.
• Follows biosecurity protocols, PPE, and movement requirements between areas.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Maintains compliance with USDA requirements and company policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
