Job summary

Willamette Egg Farms in Sioux Center, IA is hiring a Packer I to maintain the flow of incoming egg production by safely packaging eggs into flats and palletizing for transport.

Responsibilities include inspecting eggs for quality, palletizing, moving flats with a pallet jack, and keeping the work area clean while complying with food safety standards. The role may require overtime and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of general work experience
• Ability to stand for long periods in a fast-paced environment
• Lift up to 30 lbs and perform repetitive motions
• Attention to detail for quality inspection
• Basic understanding of food safety practices
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required

Responsibilities

• Package eggs into flats at a steady pace on the packaging line
• Inspect eggs for quality and remove broken or leaking eggs
• Palletize egg flats safely and securely
• Move palletized flats using a pallet jack
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, machines, and conveyors
• Empty shell collection trays regularly
• Assist coworkers as needed in packing tasks
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
• Report quality issues or equipment malfunctions to supervisors
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Other duties as assigned
