Job summary

First Financial Federal Credit Union in New Jersey seeks an in-office Operations Specialist to support daily electronic banking and settlement activities, including Zelle and debit card operations, ACH processing, and wire transfers. You will handle member inquiries, unauthorized transactions, and card issues while ensuring accurate records, timely research, and compliant processing.

This role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with credit union products and services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research issues, resolve discrepancies, and complete accurate reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to organize time and resources effectively while completing daily, monthly, and quarterly responsibilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with members and employees.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and provide excellent services to members and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and compliance with established procedures.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and other related systems.
• Ability to analyze information, exercise sound judgment, and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Process daily ACH files, ensuring timely posting and NACHA rule compliance.
• Handle ACH origination processing and recurring payments setup.
• Research and resolve ACH exceptions and unauthorized transactions with proper documentation.
• Perform Share Draft processing, posting, and daily reconciliation.
• Execute daily electronic payment processing (RDC, Zelle, debit cards, wires, bill pay).
• Manage debit card and ATM operations, including reconciliations and transaction verification.
• Process levies/subpoenas and research requests.
• Assist members and staff with account research and payment issues.
• Process returned debit and credit card mail and maintain records.
• Support Operations leadership with additional duties and projects as needed.
