Job summary

Honda of Danbury is seeking a Flat Rate Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles in our dealership. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and test to determine required work; ensure quality repairs and adherence to factory standards; and communicate with the service team to coordinate additional tasks as needed.

The role emphasizes accurate diagnostics, proper documentation, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace while following safety rules and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent and two-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; related experience may substitute.
• ASE Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs on vehicles per dealership and factory standards.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and test vehicles to determine required repairs.
• Communicate with Service Advisor and/or Dispatcher for additional work as needed.
• Document all work performed on repair orders and maintain clean work areas.
