Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in healthcare, strong medical terminology knowledge, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Some college preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare; cardiology experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as performed by the physician.
• Handle dictation, faxing, phone calls and clerical tasks related to patient care.
• Identify mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation to reduce errors; ensure data accuracy in the medical record.
• Collect, organize and catalog data for physician quality reporting and quality improvement efforts.
