Job summary

Martinrea is seeking a material handler to support operators by delivering WIP and containers to work cells and moving goods to appropriate storage areas. The role includes operating and inspecting forklifts, scanning items, and ensuring compliance with plant safety and environmental policies.

Responsibilities include monitoring scrap, maintaining container organization, and following all transport requirements.

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of the organization.

Responsibilities

Provide support to operators through on-time delivery of WIP, containers, and other materials to work cells.
Monitor scrap dumpsters and dump scrap in designated hoppers.
Remove finished goods containers and transport to storage area, and scan accordingly.
Perform maintenance and safety checks on forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Move WIP containers to designated locations and scan.
Follow plant requirements for transport and stacking of containers.
Move damaged containers to container repair area and maintain storage container organization.
Fulfill duties assigned by the Weld Assembly Supervisor.
Adhere to company policies including Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, HR policies, and Employee Handbook.
