Job summary

Martinrea is actively seeking a forklift operator at our Hopkinsville plant. You will report production on parts from press and welding and load trucks to/from subs, with receiving shipments into CMS.

The role requires forklift certification, English literacy, and familiarity with CMS. You will maintain safety, follow procedures, and participate in team efforts to keep production flowing.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification is required.
• 3–4 years forklift experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must read and write in English.
• Ability to follow defined procedures and stay organized.
• Experience with inventory systems; CMS experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Production reporting for all product via CMS.
• Create labels for production parts and verify tags.
• Receive inbound trucks and unload components.
• Scan received products into CMS.
• Pack outgoing product and manage bin locations.
• Maintain documentation and forklift safety checks.
• Adhere to health, safety, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Summary:

Report production on parts from press and welding. Load truck to/from subs. Receive incoming shipments into CMS.

Required Qualifications

• Must have valid Forklift certification
• Minimum 3 - 4 years forklift experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Must be able to read and write in English
• Ability to follow well defined procedures, with organization skills
• Ability to use computer inventory system; experience with CMS is an asset

Responsibilities

• Production reporting for all product via CMS reporting menu (suspect/ hold parts into Q25, re-worked/ good out of Q25). Weigh audit bins that are live reported
• Responsible for making labels (both Active and Dead labels) for production parts being manufactured. Collect and inspect production tags to ensure tags are matching with the actual parts being reported. Weigh - count parts using the production Matrix Scale
• Receive inbound trucks (receiving components/ sub-contractor parts/ empty bins/ some steel coils/ oils etc.)
• Scan receive incoming product into CMS
• Loading and unloading milk run trucks and creating packing slips for outgoing product
• Ensure bins are put away safely into proper areas (FG, WIP, Quarantine & Outside storage). Maintain empty bins location to ensure bin availability for production use
• Complete the necessary documentation; forklift checklist
• Ensure the safe operation of forklift at all times; abide by safety training and regulations
• Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee Handbook
• Perform regular maintenance and safety checks on Equipment

Salary: $20.25 - $26.04 per hour
