Job summary

Vestis is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Lincoln, NE to perform garment handling in an industrial laundry facility. This role involves following shipping schedules, sorting garments, and ensuring quality and safety on the line.

The ideal candidate can understand training and basic math, communicates well, and stays dependable with attendance. Weekend shifts and overtime may be required; pay is $17 per hour, with a high school degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Becomes familiar with the garment numbering system (GID) and shipping schedule board.
• Follows a shipping schedule and sorts garments into routes for specific areas.
• Moves garments from supply rail to conveyors or hooks by route or number.
• Hangs shirts and pants by route and batch before proceeding to the next batch.
• Identifies and places odd garments correctly on the odd garment bar.
• Informs supervisor of quality, mechanical, or shipping issues.
• Watches supply bars for falling garments and re-hangs as needed.
• Stops the line during jams or when issues arise and during breaks.
• Monitors wrinkles and removes garments not meeting quality standards.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and follows production practices.
