Job summary

Vestis Corporation in Lincoln, NE, is hiring a Part-Time Production Associate with a flexible schedule and a pay rate of $15.50/hour. The shift runs 10:30am-2:30pm, Monday through Friday, with no weekend work.

No prior experience is required, and training is provided. The role involves working on an industrial laundry team, handling merchandise, adhering to shipping schedules, and ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Becomes familiar with the garment numbering system (GID) and shipping schedule board.
• Follows a shipping schedule and knows the initial step to separate garments into routes for specific sort area.
• Removes garments from supply rail and places on the conveyor or placard hook by route.
• Hangs shirts and pants by route and proceeds to next batch.
• Removes odd garments and places in correct space on garment bar.
• Informs supervisor of quality, mechanical, or shipping problems.
• Watches end of supply bars for falling garments and re-hangs as needed.
• Stops line when jams occur and for breaks.
• Monitors garments for wrinkles and discards those not meeting quality standards.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment and observes best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
