Job summary

Pittsburgh Water is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist I to assist the Senior Manager, Warehouse in maintaining the Inventory Control system for supplies, equipment, parts, and materials used by the Authority.

The role requires knowledge of inventory procedures, strong Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, work with a team, and respond to callouts. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Allegheny County, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of full-time experience maintaining a computerized inventory control system (Microsoft Office).
• 1-2 years warehouse or purchasing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain records; prepare inventory reports on quantity, cost, type of supplies and equipment.
• Take orders, receive and manage inventory.
• Issue supplies, equipment, or parts to work crews and personnel.
• Prepare requisitions for supplies, materials, parts, and equipment.
