Great Lakes Cheese is seeking a Transporter of Finished Goods to move product from production, adhere to GMPs and safety policies, and ensure accurate counts and documentation. You will operate scanners, maintain batteries, and keep pallets organized in a clean, safe environment.

The role requires basic math, reading safety labels, and flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed. SAP/MES experience is a plus in this manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
• Ability to read, comprehend and communicate safety labels on chemical containers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Ability to work overtime/weekends when needed.
• SAP experience preferred.
• MES experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Remove product from wrapping equipment and transport it to racking location.
• Use handheld scanner in an effective manner.
• Verify correct counts of finished product.
• Change/maintain batteries and fill out appropriate documentation.
• Scan pallet tags and match them to the pallet.
• Put pallets away neatly; centered in racks.
• Maintain a productive speed to ensure that all needs are met in a timely manner.
• Productive use of down time.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and clean working environment.
• All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
• All GLC employees are expected to produce and promote our products and services in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
