Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese, Inc. seeks a Transporter Raw Product to move raw materials from the cooler entrance into production while adhering to GMP and safety policies. You will operate a handheld scanner, verify counts, and maintain a steady flow of materials to production lines.

Required: High School diploma or GED, ability to read safety labels, forklift operation, and basic math. SAP/MES experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
• Ability to run forklifts and other transport equipment.
• Ability to read, comprehend and communicate safety labels on chemical containers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Use handheld scanner to track materials.
• Verify correct counts of product.
• Change/maintain batteries and document actions.
• Set-up raw material and provide a constant flow of material to production.
• Scan pallet tags and match to pallets.
• Put pallets away neatly in racks.
• Maintain productive speed to meet production needs.
• Rotate stock appropriately.
• Use downtime effectively.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Promote GMP and Safe Quality Food standards.
