Family Dental Station in Glendale, AZ is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support restorative procedures and patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The successful candidate will hold Arizona EFDA credentials, CPR/BLS, complete accredited program, and be adept with radiographs, digital scans, and Dentrix Ascend.

This full-time role offers $28–$33 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Formación

• Arizona EFDA credentials required; EFDA certification/authorization for duties assigned.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience assisting with restorative dentistry, crowns, bridges, and general dental procedures.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, infection control, and sterilization protocols.
• Ability to take radiographs and perform digital scanning when properly qualified.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend preferred.
• Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and patient-focused.

Responsabilidades

• Assist dentists during restorative, crown and bridge, and other procedures as trained and legally permitted.
• Perform expanded restorative functions only when authorized by applicable Arizona laws and supervision requirements.
• Prepare and place restorative materials and perform delegated expanded functions within scope.
• Take dental radiographs and intraoral scans as qualified.
• Assist with crown preparations, temporary restorations, impressions, digital scans, and lab preparation.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes, procedure documentation, and patient records.
• Monitor patient comfort and communicate concerns to the dentist.
• Review post-operative instructions with patients as directed by the dentist.
• Set up and break down operatories before and after procedures.
• Sterilize instruments and disinfect treatment areas per OSHA/CDC protocols.
• Monitor sterilization procedures and maintain documentation.
• Ensure instruments, materials, and supplies are stocked and ready.
• Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
• Work efficiently to keep the schedule on time.
• Communicate clearly with the team.
• Anticipate provider needs and prepare materials beforehand.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Follow office protocols and workflows.
• Demonstrate reliability and teamwork.
• Participate in meetings, training, and CE as needed.
