Smiles 4 Keeps Family Dentistry in Scranton, PA is seeking an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join a well-established, multi-specialty practice. You will perform restorative tasks under the dentist's supervision, while ensuring patient comfort and clear communication with families.

The role offers competitive pay in the $29.00–$33.00/hour range, a comprehensive benefits package, and a training program to grow EFDA responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current PA EFDA license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current Pennsylvania radiology certification.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete restorative work initiated by the dentist within the limits provided by the state certification.
• Provide information to patients and parents.
• Positioning instruments for dentist's access; suctioning; retracting, passing instruments.
• Provide materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
• Fill tooth preps with restorative material.
• Take impressions.
• Observe vitals.
• Keep patient comfortable and calm, hold patients' hand.
