Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Florida is seeking a qualified Dental Assistant to support dentists, manage back-office duties, and educate patients on treatment plans. You will assist with procedures, maintain operatories, and help with insurance explanations.

Required EFDA certification and/or Radiography certification; Florida RDA/CDA license options apply. Candidates should be able to work in a high-volume practice while upholding HIPAA and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Active EFDA certification or Florida RDA/CDA license is required or obtained within stated period.
• Minimum 1 year dental experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and infection control standards.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain dental procedures and insurance options to patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist in clinical procedures and treatments.
• Maintain operatories and ensure proper inventory and stock.
• Prepare radiographs and maintain radiography equipment per guidelines.
• Document medical histories and signed consent forms.
• Explain treatment plans and financial options to patients.
• Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA regulations; attend meetings and huddles.
