Heartland Dental is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) with Indiana Radiology licensure and 1+ year of chairside EFDA experience to join a fast-paced, patient-centered office in Muncie, IN. The role includes x-ray duties, four-handed chairside support, and Dentrix scheduling.

Qualifications

• Indiana Radiology License is required.
• 1+ year of EFDA chairside experience is required.
• Dentrix or other dental software experience preferred.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments is expected.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients at the start of their dental journey and maintain patient comfort.
• Review patient health history to inform care quality.
• Take and process X-rays and diagnostic assessments (e.g., iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during a range of procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping; maintain safety protocols per OSHA & CDC guidance.
• Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve office workflow.
