The Smilist in Reading, PA is hiring a reliable Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. This full-time role requires EFDA licensure and at least 1 year of dental assisting experience. You will support dentists, maintain sterile operatory conditions, and help manage patient flow with a friendly, professional team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, at least 1 year.
• Must have EFDA license.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on treatment and address concerns while promoting the doctor’s qualities.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and assist doctors to enable efficient care.
• Escort patients to the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supply levels in each operatory; order and replenish as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
