HealthNet is hiring an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) in Indianapolis, IN. The role supports dentists with restorative procedures, radiographs, charting, and patient care in a busy clinic setting.

The position emphasizes accuracy, patient communication, and collaboration across care teams, with regular hours and potential travel to other HealthNet locations. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Completion of radiology course or accredited dental assisting program.
• Maintain a DANB certification.
• Requires X-ray certification.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Coronal Polishing certification not required but appreciated.
• 1-2 years of experience or formal training as a dental assistant.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatory and/or operating room for planned treatment.
• Escort patients to clinical area, complete intake, assist during care; include Expanded Function tasks.
• Perform placement and finishing of dental restorations, coronal polishing and fluoride applications.
• Observe, document, and communicate patient conditions with providers for initial assessment.
• Taking X-rays and reviewing patient health history.
• Perform dental lab functions as assigned.
