Job summary

Timber Kids Dentistry in Oregon is seeking a Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions (EFDA) to join a team focused on patient care and collaboration with doctors and staff. You will support patients before, during, and after appointments, and help create a positive visit for every patient.

The role requires an active dental assistant license/registration as required by the state, EFDA certification, at least 6 months of experience, and CODA-accredited program (preferred).

Qualifications

• Active license/registration to practice as a dental assistant, as required by your state.
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification required
• 6+ months of experience as a dental assistant
• Completion of a CODA accredited dental assisting program (preferred)
• Quick learner with strong problem solving skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Organized with strong knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology

Responsibilities

• Greet and support patients before, during, and after their appointment
• Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos
• Prepare and sterilize the treatment room and equipment
• Provide chairside assistance during treatment procedures, including expanded function duties
• Document dental care services by charting patient records
