Qualifications
- Completion of the twelfth grade.
- Valid Expanded Function Dental Assistant certification, including radiologic proficiency issued by the Oregon State Board of Dental Examiners.
- Graduate from an accredited dental assistant program.
- BLS CPR certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
- Successful completion of a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical assistance and support to Dentists and Dental Hygienists.
- Perform all aspects of 4‑handed dentistry, including material mixing and rubber dam placement.
- Anticipate provider needs during treatment and keep the provider informed.
- Triage emergency patients and inform providers of client needs.
