Requirements include radiographer license, EFDA certification, CPR, and a high school diploma; prior EFDA experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Radiographer's License required.
• Certified Dental Assistant credential required.
• State Board EFDA Certification required.
• CPR Certification required.
• 2-3 years of previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and provide four-handed support to dentists and hygienists during treatment.
• Record examination findings and treatments in patient charts.
• Expose, process, and mount dental radiographs.
• Pour and trim study models; manipulate impression materials.
• Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized operatories.
• Sterilize instruments and prepare treatment trays.
• Perform daily/weekly equipment maintenance.
• Manage clinic inventory and laboratory case flow.
• Place restorative materials, including amalgam and non-metallic restorations.
• Fabricate and place temporary crown and bridge restorations.
• Place dental sealants and medicaments.
