Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of principles of human resources management.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations affecting human resources practices.
• Ability to use a computer to access HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and maintain the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program.
• Gathers, analyzes, and interprets data for EEO compliance and reporting.
• Plans, completes, and files required EEO and/or affirmative action reports with government agencies.
• Uses appropriate statistical software or tools to measure and monitor EEO compliance.
• Reports survey results, statistics, and recommendations for corrective action to the EEO Manager.
• Addresses inquiries regarding civil rights and equal opportunity laws; refers sensitive issues to the manager or legal staff.
• Maintains documentation and case tracking for investigations and complaints.
• Responds to claims within 24 hours and coordinates intake of complaints.
• Stays abreast of federal, state, and local laws affecting EEO practices.
• Facilitates ADA processes including accommodation requests and interactive dialogue.
• Develops and administers EEO compliance programs and policies.
• Investigates employee problems involving discriminatory activities and recommends action.
• Supervises other staff as needed.
