Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is hiring a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to support EEG procedures and patient testing. You will operate EEG equipment, prepare patients, and document findings for physicians. The role requires familiarity with the 10-20 system, artifact recognition, and strong clinical communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in neurodiagnostics or completion of a formal on-the-job training program or graduation from an electroneurodiagnostics program
• Knowledge of the 10-20 system and routine EEG procedures
• Ability to observe EEG tracings and respond to abnormalities/seizure activity
• Ability to recognize artifact and reapply or replace appropriate electrodes
• Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team
• Excellent customer service skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Maintains supplies and equipment for patient care and ensures equipment is in good working condition, performing basic troubleshooting and calling in service tickets when repairs are required
• Uses appropriate activation procedures and informs the physician and/or supervisor of changes in the patient's condition or abnormalities on the recording
• Executes procedures according to ACNS guidelines and department policy
• Prepares patients for testing using the International 10-20 system of measurement and hookup
• Ensures and maintains patient safety during testing and accurately documents and charges for procedures
• Actively supports department and hospital quality improvement initiatives
• Communicates and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care
• Attends monthly staff meetings and related sessions
• Performs other duties as assigned
