Job summary

Health First seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technologist I to perform EEG studies across multiple hospitals, ensuring high-quality tracings and adherence to protocols. You will review patient records, communicate with care teams, and monitor for seizure activity within established guidelines.

The role requires on-call availability, flexibility in shift patterns, and proficiency in MS Office. Experience with neonatal to adult EEGs is preferred, with on-site responsibilities at Health First facilities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to take call and respond within 60 minutes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of routine and critical care EEG.
• Ability to test in neonatal, pediatric and adult populations.
• Must be flexible to changes in workflow and patient volumes.
• On-call requirement across multiple Health First hospital sites.

Responsibilities

• Performs EEG studies appropriate to patient age and condition.
• Reviews patient medical records to gather information before procedures.
• Alerts ICU/Neurohospitalist teams to seizure activity.
• Communicates delays and updates to care teams.
• Ensures compliance with ACNS guidelines.
• Interprets EEG waveforms and distinguishes artifacts.
• Sets up long-term monitoring EEGs while protecting skin integrity at electrode sites.
