Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) preferred.
• 1 year neurodiagnostic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect patients' medical information to customize tests.
• Identify artifacts from non-brain sources (e.g., electrode issues, movement).
• Monitor patients during EEG procedures using EEG/EP/video equipment.
• Conduct tests to assess cerebral death or coma prognosis.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair EEG equipment as needed.

Responsibilities include test set up, electrode application, conduction of tests and the collection of information pertinent to the interpretation of the tests.Does this position require Patient Care? YesEssential Functions-Collects patients medical information needed to customize tests.-Indicates artifacts or interferences derived from sources outside of the brain such as poor electrode contacts or patient movement on electroneurodiagnostic recordings.-Monitors patients during tests or surgeries using electroencephalographs (EEG), evoked potential (EP) instruments, or video recording equipment.-Conducts tests to determine cerebral death, the absence of brain activity, or the-probability of recovery from a coma.-Calibrates, troubleshoots, or repairs equipment and corrects equipment malfunctions.QualificationsEducation High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
