Essential responsibilities include recording data from routine, sleep, and long-term monitoring, telemetry setup, intraoperative monitoring, electrode application and removal, patient safety, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Vocational or Technical training in Neurodiagnostic or Polysomnographic technology preferred.
  • 0–1 year related work experience required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access) and web-based apps.

Responsibilities

  • Records physiological data from routine, sleep, and special EEG procedures.
  • Records data from in/out patients for Long Term Monitoring (Telemetry).
  • Performs intraoperative monitoring in the operating room as needed.
  • Applies/removes electrodes and maintains equipment and lab cleanliness.
  • Provides first aid and supports residents, physicians, and other technicians.

Job Description:Essential Responsibilities:Records physiological data from the patients having routine, sleep, and special electroencephalographic (EEG) procedures. Records physiological data from in/out patients having Long Term Monitoring(Telemetry). Includes telemetry application of monitoring equipment and reset patients returning for continued monitoring.Performs intraoperative procedures in the operating room as needed. Monitors physiological data from patients having electrocorticography and WADA. Applies electrodes to patients and removes electrodes at the end of surgery.Provides effective first aid for patients for special electrophysiological patients who have convulsions or other problems.Cleans and maintains all equipment and makes minor repairs as needed. Maintains cleanliness of laboratory and storage of data.Acts as resource for residents, physicians and other technicians, providing assistance and advice as necessary.Required Qualifications:High School diploma or GED required. Vocational or Technical training in Neurodiagnostic or Polysomnographic technology preferred.0-1 years related work experience required.Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications.
