Responsibilities

• Understand basic principles of nerve conduction instrumentation, including electrodes and recording systems.
• Calibrates, evaluates, and adjusts instruments to obtain top-quality recordings.
• Correctly identifies nerve pathways to be studied.
• Places recording and stimulation electrodes according to standards and policies.
• Obtains clearly defined responses and calculates conduction velocities.
• Maintains patient cooperation and comfort during testing.
