Job summary

Qualifications

• Meets ABRET's requirements for entry pathways to become a registered EEG technologist.
• BLS through AHA or Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
• BLS/CPR card must be valid through sixty days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Applies patient electrodes using the International 10-20 system.
• Performs routine EEG testing in outpatient settings and at the bedside.
• Reviews patient histories and educates patients about procedures.
• Observes, notes and analyzes clinical and technical changes during recordings.
• Monitors patient condition, documents data and reports adverse reactions.
• Edits and forwards results to attending physician for interpretation and completes paperwork.
