Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a motivated EEG Technician trainee to perform EEG examinations on outpatients and bedside in ED/ICU settings. You will train under EEG staff and may advance to EEG Technician after one year with demonstrated competence and completion of required didactic training.

You will learn to calibrate equipment, position patients, and recognize ictal patterns while complying with patient-centered care standards and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in direct patient care.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• All certifications are required upon hire, including BLS.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform routine EEG examinations under supervision.
• Assist in monitoring patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
• Prepare patients for testing and ensure proper equipment setup.
• Follow infection control standards and department policies.
