Job summary

Ascension Milwaukee seeks an experienced Neurodiagnostic Tech to join our Night shift team. In this role you will attach, connect, and operate electrodes for EEG procedures, review records, monitor patients, and report abnormal findings.

You’ll maintain equipment and coordinate with the attending physician for interpretation. Requirements include BLS certification within 30 days of hire, ABRET credential preferred, and a high school diploma or technical degree with related experience.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• ABRET Electroencephalographic Technician credentialing preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent with related experience or education.

Responsibilities

• Attach and operate electrodes for EEG procedures on specified body areas.
• Review patient records, instruct before procedures, monitor during procedures, and report abnormalities.
• Identify artifacts, forward results to attending physician for interpretation.
• Maintain EEG equipment and supplies.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Attach, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electroencephalograph machine.
• Review patient's record and instructs patients prior to procedures. Monitor patient during procedures and reports any abnormal findings.
• Identify and correct for artifacts. Edit and forward results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
• Maintain EEG equipment and supplies.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
