Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago seeks an EEG Technician to perform EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and sleep latency studies, recording brain activity to help diagnose epilepsy and localize lesions.

Per Diem position with dayshift; competitive compensation and benefits package with a Total Rewards approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Completion of educational program for EEG technicians preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 2 yrs experience as an EEG technician required
• Associate Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic technology from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs preferred
• Certification from the American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologies (ABRET) preferred

Overview

• Department: Electromyography
• Schedule: Per Diem (As Needed)
• Facility: Resurrection Medical Center
• Location: 7435 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631

Responsibilities

Performs EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and multiple sleep latency EEGs. Responsible for recording electrical activity of the patient's brain to study epilepsy, convulsive disorders and localizing lesions in the cerebrum. Performs clerical duties. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality (CQI) improvement activities.

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2. Completion of educational program for EEG technicians preferred.
3. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
4. 2 yrs experience as an EEG technician required
5. Associate Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic technology from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs preferred
6. Certification from the American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologies (ABRET) preferred
